It seems a bit strange to me that so many "oil addicts" on BITOG are dealing with oil consumption issues. Are BITOGes slacking on their maintenance?
That being said, I've been running Valvoline Restore and Protect in our five vehicles from the time it was released. They range from 15+ year old, to brand new vehicles. 27 miles to 189k. It's good oil that is available locally, and $30 for a jug. It has been proven to do what it claims, and would seem like a logical choice on low mileage newer engines as a preventative measure to avoid ever having to try to "fix" stuck rings and dirty engines, etc in the future. It does all of this without any added effort or additional products, time, cost. We are all going to change our oil as normal practice, why not use an oil that gives us the best chance over the life of the vehicle? Sounds like a no-brainer to me.
