I usually don't choose stuff merely on price but I'm less concerned about a CAF unless I've read/heard something negative about their quality...below is the original OEM after 12 months and about 7400 miles...not sure if it was a charcoal filter as other OEM filters I've seen are all white but this one seems too uniform (but for the darker, dirtier areas) to have not been that type...

Yeah, it could be a "charcoal" filter like you mentioned. The Hann Co filter you bought to replace the above OEM filter is interesting...Green color that would win over @KCJeep

Charcoal filters are usually all black. That looks like a dirty white one to me.

Thanks for the feedback on the filter...I've never had the experience of a CAF getting this dirty after only 12 months but there it is...the HANN&CO filter appeared to be better built than the OEM filter...came in a nice box and sealed in nice plastic built in China...fit was excellent
