5 year old Gravely 52" ZT Battery. All I see are U1 with terms on long side.

You don't have to use the original type battery though. The box is large enough for a regular U1 and the cables will reach.
^^^^Yep, if you look at the print on the battery hold down clamp in that photo, that is exactly what it states. Nice upgrade to a universally available and cheaper U1 battery with more power capacity. Those are designed to take a regular U1 size as a replacement for that bitty battery installed at the factory. I will say that those little guys have a pretty good track record for holding up.
It gets cold where I live and my first two batteries got me through ten years. Cold means ten degrees most winters and minus ten degrees last winter. My first replacement cost $30 and the second $35. Don't overthink this.At 5 years now you know why I am taking a look. Seems like I could score a replacement rapidly when required. Thanks
The core charge at WalMart as of around a week ago was $12.If it's an option, Costco sells standard terminal configured U1 interstate branded batteries. Mine said I didn't need to bring in the old one as there wasn't a core charge.
