Green oil from Mobil 1

I wonder which Porsche and Jaguar Land Rover models will show up with this recommendation.
"Jaguar Land Rover, Porsche and Volkswagen Group have all approved the new Mobil 1 formulation that is now commercially available. Karl Dums, director of advanced engineering powertrain and powertrain strategy at Porsche, said, “The low-viscosity formulation of Mobil 1 ESP x2 0W-20 offers the compelling performance benefits demanded by our premium vehicles, as well as improved fuel efficiency for our drivers.”

Looks like the finally took a page from Schaeffer. One of the characteristics of Schaeffer was the green color primarily from their proprietary anti friction additive called Penetro. Schaeffer uses some Mobil base stock so maybe they did a swap on things.

IDK, the existing 5W30 ESP is not much of an AFE-type oil...HTHS is nearly 3.6, compared to 3.0-3.1 for their other 5W30s.

Basically it's an attention grabber to get you to purchase a "new" inferior product. Like they say there is a sucker born every minute

Looks like it's for the European market only, at least in 0w20.
I've turned my oil green by mixing Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 0w20 with Lubegard Biotech. I use it to prime the oil filter. Only takes 2/3 bottle,but it sure helps ready the orange dipstick easier.
Well, if the green color is from an actual additive they are using to make the product better, then it might be worth it. If it is just from a dye in the oil, then point taken.
