Saw these people perform LIVE twice. Quite possibly the greatest keyboard player to ever live. Palmer was one of the best drummers around at that time also.

Basically the entire Pet Shop Boys catalog.

Early Depeche Mode was all synthetics, but eventually they started using guitar. I saw them in concert, and they brought in a full band including a drummer instead of using programmed beats. But it was still synthetic heavy.
