I got so I can't stand white rice any more.
I'm trying to get all my nutrients from foods, so brown rice seems like a better idea than white rice.

I stopped by the Indian Market today and got a 5 pound bag of brown Jasmine rice for $7.99.
The last bag of brown Jasmine rice I bought here was $8.99.
Both came from Thailand.

Go have a soil analysis done on some soil in your yard, arsenic will be in there. Arsenic is a naturally occurring element and can be found in soils.
Yes but rice from these two states have higher amounts of inorganic arsenic compared to rice grown elsewhere.

Dollar Tree still has 2 pounds brown rice for $1.25 ($1 until recent inflation).
Dollar store rice will have the highest levels of arsenic, in case it matters to any of you.
Most likely grown in the southeast USA.
Thailand or India rice, or Lundberg from California are probably your best bets.

Rinse the rice, soak it, then rinse again.

It will cook better and As will be reduced somewhat
With certain exceptions, I always rinse or rinse and soak my rice. Carnaroli and Arborio are two strains I don't rinse as I use them for risotto. Generally, I'll rinse and soak brown rice. Depending on the rice and the desired result, brown rice will get as much as a six to twelve-hour soak. 95% of the brown rice that I cook is organic, short or medium-grain, California-grown rice.

My absolute favorite brown rice is from https://massaorganics.com/ ... the HPL of brown rice.

Since Massa is out of stock on brown rice for a while (the new crop is just waiting to be processed and packed), I picked up this short-grain, Japanese-style, California-grown rice a couple of days ago. I'll try it later this week, and try cooking it in the Instant Pot.
