Got honked at for stopping at a red light 😂

Driving has become exponentially worse in my area over the last couple years
It will remain bad until legislators vote-in issuing tickets by-way-of intersection cameras that are now beginning to appear all over the place. More & more license reading cameras are now in use here. But so far, no movement to instill writing moving violations with these high tech cameras yet. .

Great. One nation, under…surveillance.

I've checked. So far no states I have checked explicitly states the right-turner gets right-of-way over the left-turner who was at a 2-way stop sign so if you can find where the law states your case, please share.
They don't have to explicitly state it. It's the common right of way traffic rules applicable in all 50 states.

Imagine showing up at two way stop sign intersecting with a major highway. Car A attempting to turn left gets there a second before Car B turning right. If car A is stopped and able to enter the intersection, they do so first because car B hasn't completed his stop yet. Pretty simple.

Imagine Car A (attempting a left turn) arriving at the intersection 30 seconds before car B (attempting right turn) but both are forced to sit and yield for cross-traffic. Car A is frustrated because he's been sitting there longest. When the coast is clear, it's a lot like a stoplight turning green. Does the left hand driver turn left first? NO, they yield to the straight through traffic or those making right turns. It's pretty simple and elementary. I promise you won't find a state law that deviates from this.

And this is why ignorant drivers upset me, because these actions can hurt people.

So many try to run from the cops. My buddy has his police scanner on all the time and he's always hearing chatter from high speed chases...it happens almost every day now. Most of these idiots don't have a valid driver's license, a valid registration, or insurance, or none of the three. I say the state should start permanently confiscating these people's vehicles. Taking their license, or giving them tickets doesn't do any good, they continue to drive anyway. They can't drive a vehicle they don't have...
Yep... Make the punishment fit the crime.... Hard time for second offenders. Something instead of a slap on the wrist.

If people drove like that around here they would be in jail.
Well, that would suck. We're trying to get to work - nearly all of us. There's an established early morning organization and hierarchy. Just stick with the program and we'll all get where we need to go. ;)

Its unconstitutional in many states.

Charlotte NC was forced to take theirs down. I know in SC a county was trying to do automatic speed camera's and they were sent a cease and desist by the state's attorney general. Would require a constitutional change in both states I believe.

So get to work. If being there at a certain time is that critical, then leave for work earlier. It's not rocket science. Having to get to work isn't an excuse to speed or drive dangerously...

The rocket scientists are going to work too. Stay home gramps. 👴🏠

They got rid of the cameras in Houston because the camera company scammed the city and took most of the revenue on the tickets😂 Must have been a well written contract 👏

Those cameras that have been disabled, won't be disabled for long. Legislation to implement camera-ticketing will eventually make it to voter Ballots..... no later than 2028.

Yes, they will be voted-in. Most are sick & tired of the ruthless, lawless society that are behind the wheel. These cameras are not intended for those that drive 5mph over the speed limit BTW. The Po-Po won't go after that group of offenders.

China is a leader in this technology. They not only go after dangerous drivers. They have cameras on every corner and go after all kinds of on-foot crime on their streets, sidewalks.....etc.

It's coming here also. The Land of the Free will eventually lose it's Sovereignty also.

Self-Driving cars are coming faster than any of us realize. And one obvious point is that self-driving cars do not have to be very good at all to be better than the average human driver. It's a very low standard and as everyone's observations here indicate... It just seems to get worse and worse lately with more distracted driving and less patience and overall so many being extremely selfish and self-absorbed.

The cameras were taken away a long time ago. Probably 10 years ago lol

Takes five minutes to hang new ones..... next time with more trusted, advanced wireless capabilities.
They don't necessarily have to install them on intersection poles either. Satellites and drones will help out.
There will even be multi-source power grids - places like where you need to have your electric vehicle recharged.

Those roadside charging stations will do far more than just recharge your ride.

They can hire you then 😂

Same here
They're out on the main highway Iike a flock of geese on a Sunday afternoon, but nowhere to be found on the backroads in my little town. People roll through stop signs like they arent there Way too many cops and sheriff's in a town of 12,000. They're nowhere to be found in the other small town I grew up in and they used to be all over the place back in the day. Someone told me sometimes they get people voted in that keeps them out of the neighborhoods. Personally I think the neighborhoods is where they're needed, but the revenue is on the highway
