Well, not really, but say hello to profound changes. Just got back from my local Walmart. Yellow jugs with the "P" word are still in evidence, but silicate-phosphate-borate laced brew isn't. The stuff's been reformulated to an extended life product. Same as Prestone's DEX-COOL(tm) GM licensed product but without that word to scare off the anti-DEX-COOL(tm) crowd who take (took?) false refuge in the miraculous healing properties of phosphated, borated, silicate-death "simpleton green". The new stuff in the familiar yellow jugs is still dyed green, too, but that's where the similarity totally and irrevocably ends. I expect this move is purely transitional until Prestone's marketing whizzes determine which color buyers prefer. ("Don't like orange? Here, take some green - same thing, but, hey, whatever floats yer boat...") And, perhaps, just perhaps, with a very reasonble national brand alternative to Honda, Nissan, and Toyota's bloated price products, perhaps those companies will be "encouraged" to re-think their pricing schedules. At the very least, if Prestone's strategy catches on with other antifreeze manufacturers (and I believe it will out of car manufacturer and competitive pressures), it'll be one less worry about some pump-jockey troglodyte topping up your pricey proprietary coolant with "green snot, silicate death" and blowing its extended life properties.
