Goodbye to our beloved cat

Unfortunately today is the day for our beloved Maine Coon Cooper. He has told us he is ready . Cooper is the last of our pets. We will miss him dearly. We'll miss the companionship, the laughter and joy he has given us these 12 yrs. He was the perfect cat and the perfect Maine Coon in every way. I can't begin to describe how intertwined he became in our daily routine. He was with us all the time. I'm just going to sit here with him for a couple of more hours in the very room we brought he and his brother as kittens.

I'm so sorry. I've got an almost 13 yr old cat who's had his share of bumps and scrapes. Fortunately, he seems to be doing okay, but it's always in the back of my mind that his day will come sooner than later.

So sorry. Losing pets is part of having pets and man is it hard. You've given him his best life and doing what's best for him now. My dad called it tough duty.

That day is coming soon for my almost 15 YO cattledog Cooper who I feel the same about, he's the best dog of my 68 year life.

Maybe some day you can find another to give a best life and fill the hole a little.

4 cats have left us over 40 years of marriage. All were rescues. Max, Minnow, Mango, Winston. Now Kimo and Pearl are already 8 years old. I feel your pain, and I was never a cat person until these little devils owned me.

I know exactly how you feel. At my last house, 32 years there, I ended up with a pet cemetary in my backyard. Hate that part about having furry family members.
