GC 0w30 and the LS1

I've done some searching and found a few things. My question is, I've been hearing some "infamous" piston slap at idle latley. Would switching to a 5w30 or 10w30 help this at all? Thanks

Nope... I would try a 40wt.

Unless the pistion slap occurs when cold at idle, then I would go 10w30.

I have GC in my LS1 right now and really like it. You could try Mobil 1 Truck and SUV 5w40, or possibly Rotella 5w40 synth.

I've got GC in my LS1 and don't have any piston slap. Although I don't think it had piston slap on 5w30 (although I only drove the car for about 30min with 5w30 in it and then immediately changed it to GC)

I haven't had piston slap for the past 4 oil changes, maybe because it's been a little colder here lately. Did great in the summer
