Gas station food

Point of clarification - those places no longer consider themselves gas stations. They are food-focused convenience stores that also happen to sell fuel.

I've ran across a few gas stations that have excellent broasted chicken. The amount of meat on the pieces are enormous and the breading/seasoning are great. Only problem is it takes quite a bit of time to broast it apparently so you can't order it and wait to get it fresh. They tend to make a number of batches during the day and when they run out, they're done for the day.
Yeah, gas, restroom, coffee … no food bcs I can be in/out of a genuine BBQ place in 20 minutes …

Years ago I stopped by an Exxon gas station in Kittrell NC, They fried their Chicken with a healthy dose of bacon grease in the oil. Best chicken I have ever ate.

They also had all the other southern favorites. Ox tail, pigs feet, collard greens, butter beans, etc. It was pure heaven.
