35 gallon gas tank in a pick up is ~$140 per fill up using ~$4 per gallon average for 87. No thank you.
When I had a company truck about 10? year ago...F-150 5.0 with the exteded range 35 gal tank. >$100 fill ups...so much that you had to do it twice b/c max credit card transaction at the pump was $100.35 gallon gas tank in a pick up is ~$140 per fill up using ~$4 per gallon average for 87. Almost NO forms of auto work are easy. One must love doing mechanical type of work and especially have a love for autos to take on any of those jobs. Its the same. There are not enough people because we have our largest cohort - the baby boomers, retiring and wanting to buy services, while we have very small cohorts joining the workforce. Supply and demand, and as you can see, that smaller group is employed already. No slack in the supply chain.
Of those people available and willing to work low paying jobs, no one wants to work for Walmart because they pay slightly less than starbucks, Chik Fila, Chipotle, etc.
You sound jealouswell, many ARE sitting at home, more than ever, making Youtube/Gofundme/onlyfans videos, and sitting around at home smoking pot, banging potatoes, unemployed, living at parents rent free, and have alcoholism. A top ten LOLcow on KiwiFarms, that dresses like a pirate...

$1.39/L in the GTA just a week ago; today, $1.72 @ the same Shell station.to the Canadians on here...what is your current pump price?
Today it hit $2.10 Liter for regular gas in Vancouver (and we were kinda pissed off at the $1.65-1.77L just before this Iran **** show.
I might be looking to get one so I can tow a trailer with motorcycles around. A secondary vehicle.Soon, of these high gas prices persist, it will be a good time to buy a big truck or an SUV.
Oh ya, I remember here in my part of Western Canada when we had the same high gas prices , maybe it was during covid, people were panic dumping their big gas guzzling pickups and SUVs , selling for a fraction of what they normally would sell for , on the used car market. People were on the local nightly News, being interviewed, they looked suicicidal as they pumped gas into their Excursions, Ram hemi trucks, etc. I was thinking back then...'' If they wait it out 1-5 months or so, betcha prices will return to more normal and they will wish they never sold at such a huge loss.''......and that is what happened.I might be looking to get one so I can tow a trailer with motorcycles around. A secondary vehicle.
Always best time to buy an excursion when gas is $5 a gallon!
I'm wondering IF I had the money, to buy one or two gas guzzling trucks/SUVs at rock bottom prices , park them a few months or so and wait till gas prices sorta return to normal...Flip and make a profit? I'm sure those that have the cash are gonna do just that. Lurk like a vulture, buy Low, wait, resell and make a good profit. So it's a good time to buy a truck? Might have to start lookingWorking on the place we haven't traveled much in the RV lately, Dakota is a glupper though.
Wouldn't the sales tax, registration, insurance, housing, etc kill the profit? I'd just buy stock.I'm wondering IF I had the money, to buy one or two gas guzzling trucks/SUVs at rock bottom prices , park them a few months or so and wait till gas prices sorta return to normal...Flip and make a profit? Could backfire and get stuck with big gas guzzlers.
lol, I guess. Hey, it's my imaginary money. Jokes aside, my cousin has been buying and flipping Used cars/trucks for the past 30 years.Wouldn't the sales tax, registration, insurance, housing, etc kill the profit? I'd just buy stock.
