Front license plates

Maybe a front tag with a different aspect ratio would be a workable compromise - wider and less tall like Euro tags.

Maybe like this? Owner has it on the rear.

That change in Ohio was the most ridiculous thing those worthless law makers ever decided. Makes law enforcement more difficult. Imagine how much money had to be spent by school districts to make necessary changes to the school bus cameras to catch people who didn't stop for school buses.
What drove this? I can't see any reason to ever get rid of it if you have it.

Never had them and always removed the bracket first hour after delivery of a used vehicle. When I bought a new car, I made sure the dealer knew not to install the bracket.

I live in a state where they are required. I've owned twelve vehicles and none of them have had a front plate. Never had an issue with LEO's.

Vermont has total hypocrisy. A front plate is required. But then, the State will sell you a "commemorative" plate that you can install OVER your front plate, totally covering it. But, the front plate must still be there, even though for anyone to see it, the commemorative plate would have to be unscrewed off and removed.

So much for the idea that a front plate is needed for vehicle identification by law enforcement.

I want to put some kind of front plate on my pickup. It has the bracket as I use to have two plates in NY. But now in DE I have an empty front bracket.

Funny plate? Plate that makes a statement?

Hard to beat the one that my work wife has on her truck. And yes, I have had to borrow her truck before I got the Ranger to tow the kid's Civic back from Myrtle Beach when the dude fell on it. Talk about some REALLY confused people when I got out to get gas a couple of times. I'm sure they were thinking 'That is one UGLY girl'.

Glad we don't have a front one in the sunflower 🌻 state. The man wastes enough here as is. Waiting to get the yellow snake license plate or the Wichita flag plate but haven't decided yet

We don’t have them in NM, but there have been attempts to get legislation requiring them. While other states drop, we seem to want to add. Is this to balance the automotive universe?…
Or just stupid?
What gripes me is the local dealers that instantly drill all new car arrivals for a front plate and slap a plate with the name of the dealership on the car up front. Audis & BMWs, no. Subarus & Hondas, oh yes!
