Front Disc Brake Problem

Forum member reports that he replaced left front wheel ABS sensor and that fixed the problem. Apparently the ABS system was OK with one wheel caliper being actuated at highway speeds on dry pavement. I'll have to remember this one.

Seems odd. Does this model have electronic brake distribution? Where it applies rear brakes first, then engages fronts, so as to eliminate brake dive on light braking. I *thought* that was only used on later model stuff with rear discs, but who knows. I'm also not sure how that system is implemented, but I'm going to guess it somehow uses the ABS pump.

But I'd think that it'd deenergize the system when at a stop!

I'm not sure how a fault in the sensor would cause the caliper to be left on. Sensor sending lots of pulses, triggering VSC (not ABS), thus applying the brake? Although I'd think the system would fault out at a standstill, when the other 3 wheels are reporting 0mph (is there an transmission output sensor which could also report 0mph?).

Happens all the time everywhere. Not sure if its AI/BOTs or just trolls. Too many threads everywhere are fake. Too many "woe is me" threads when owner negligence or foolishness caused issues. too many 'same issue' popping up with every imaginable make. I guess Skynet is still learning.
 
Hydraulic brake line may be clappsed/chaffed on the inside not allowing the pressure to release? Maybe?
OP claimed to have replaced the hose, BUT I personally experienced this problem on a Chevy S-10. It was very difficult for me to visualize the delaminated hose lining acting as a check valve but it really happened. Thank goodness one of the techs at my work suggested the fix.

My 04 has electronic brake distribution, so I am sure his vehicle also came with the feature.
