A Toyota Nation forum member has a problem with the left front caliper remaining energized after pressure is released. Caliper,master cylinder and hose have been replaced. Discussion is now on the brake booster, but that would affect both front calipers(actually all calipers). Anyone?

Does the caliper release when the bleeder screw is opened? The booster would not single out one wheel.
Hydraulic brake line may be clappsed/chaffed on the inside not allowing the pressure to release? Maybe?
I wonder if it's possible to get a bad "new" brake hose, something bad right off the shelf. Particularly if from the local parts store... although I'd more suspect a bad new caliper than a hose.
Years ago I did a pad slap and had to sand the pads down, they had too much meat. [Small town getting parts from a local parts store for an import.] Pads dragged all the time until I did that.

Could also have a slug of air in 3 of the lines, and/or a poorly adjusted rod.
Ask for video of the issue. This problem is easy enough to troubleshoot and trace. Bleeder screw, as mentioned is a good start.

recently put NRS front pads on my 2011 fronty SV + had new front hoses but from age could not remove the necessary fittings so my pro local indy did the hoses + as i noted i could not bleed drivers front, he removed bleeder + opened it up as it was blocked from whatever + he noted it was a common issue with older vehicles. i would check the caliper slide pins that removal + a clean + lube would fix + since like mine only one side was the issue causing crooked pad wear.

But wouldn't that also affect the left rear caliper to some extent also?
It's an 04, doesn't give model so may or may not also have rear disc brakes like my 04 with the V6.

Was there a recent service? or was the braking system grossly neglected.... not touched until failure?

Less area on the rear piston, so less brake force. Pressure is the same. Ive had several vehicles that needed rod adjusting, always fronts binding
This still leads me to my first answer(hydraulic brake hose). Unless you can definitely find the cause, the hose is an inexpensive trial/rule out parts replacement.
Member says he replaced the hose.
Forum member reports that he replaced left front wheel ABS sensor and that fixed the problem. Apparently the ABS system was OK with one wheel caliper being actuated at highway speeds on dry pavement. I'll have to remember this one.
