Semantics, cut open canister, cartridge.... filter inspections mean little unless there is a filter hard part failure. Other than that, it sure looks pretty.

Ratings of a filter are marketing. UP TO 15k depends on engine soot/crud loading. It would have to be tested ON EVERY ENGINE to blindly be used for the full 15k miles. Only fools and suckers believe in marketing and they are being born by the second these days.

IMO, it was used (2) times more than it should have been. What was the reason for using it (3) times? Was it too hard to get access to? You didn't want to spend money on another filter? What vehicle is it from?

I’ve done this many times. No need to worry.

Edit. Initially, didn't realize this was a resurrected thread. In any case, cartridge looks fine for 3 ocis. No problem.

This is true. The "FACT of the matter" is, I will NEVER use an oil filter more than once. And that's my belief and I'm sticking to it.
Everyone has their "OPINIONS" about running an oil filter multiple times. And that's their right to. I used to call out those multiple oil filter users. I don't anymore. It's their GOD given right to do as they please.
This is America and we have the FREEDOM to do almost anything we want (to a degree).
