Looks like the only good Fram filters are the ones with fiber end caps who would of thought…hmmm

Good pics & light tests. I know nothing about Subaru's TBH. Is that a Forester? I really like the looks of them & they've been catching my eye lately since they have grown in popularity. Good for you to help get family into an affordable ride.

Yes 2013 Forester. Not as refined as my 18 Outback but should be reliable for her.

Nothing wrong with the EG for 3-5k intervals

I've never been a fan of the current Ultra XG media, but at 4k miles this one looks ok. That said, for me the leaking seal area negates the positive appearance of the media. No bueno. Appreciate you doing the light test to confirm. What I can see the Suby looks to be in decent shape.
