I never imagined that I would actually be cutting filters open, but here I am...

2008 Honda Civic, 99,463 miles on the car, 7,504 miles on the oil and filter; mixed driving, mostly to work (21 mile RT) with some longer trips added in

Out/Off- Mobil 1 5W-20 with 1 qt M1 EP 5W-20 (what I had on hand), Fram Ultra 7317
In/On - Mobil 1 EP 5W-20, Fram Endurance 7317

Leaf spring stamping looks pretty smooth at sealing interface - maybe slight ripple on the left side from what I can tell. Would have to remove the leaf spring, wipe it off for a better look to know for sure.

Dug it back out of quadruple bagged and tied garbage...sorry, slightly out of focus at the sealing surface, in person it looks fine.

Thanks @Chumango, now that you are cutting filters open, I'd love to see the Endurance when you change it. Maybe do a flashlight test on it too. I cut an Ultra open a few months ago, no light leakage, no wavy pleats, either. I think because I only run 4k miles or so the pleats aren't writhing in pain.......
