Fram Titanium FS12447 C&P

I cut open the one with worse louvers. The louvers facing down that you can't see looked great, so I don't see any reason to worry about them.

It's a bit of a mess. Clamped too tight, glue everywhere, some pleats oddly out of place, and I have no idea what this media is. It doesn't look like the Endurance pink synthetic media.

Can you tear the media to see if it has multiple layers? Looks pretty good but I still don't get why the other Titanium filters of similar size such as the 3614 and 3600 use the cellulose blend backed media. Thanks for sharing.

FB has just been trying to milk the Ultra & Titanium for all they can. The days to safely run one 20K are pretty much over, although an oversize filter (XG3600) on a spotless engine like my xB might be able to get away with it.

Yeah, I ran the new gen XG3600 but not long enough for it to start deforming under loading. Given the 3600 size filter is roughly twice is tall internally should be able to go the distance more safely with the same media.

I'm all stashed up with 40 FS3600 with the good pink stuff. Once those are gone I'll be sticking with Donaldson and Fleetguard synthetic filter.
