If some people say that Fram is a bad oil filter have there been any recent engine failures with their oil filter and if so has Fram paid for ant damage if the filter was to blame.i've used their filters with no problems and if they made a bad filter they would be out of business.I think they could use metal endcaps and a thicker metal can on all of their filters.
The sad part is that on other forums and even on their website people still find something to bash them about.Joe

I like the TG more than any non synthetic filter available. They have videos on YouTube proving that the cans are thick enough to outlast the gasket at like 250 psi.

Fram makes great oil filters. People just have a bad taste in there mouth from when they started using fiber end caps long long ago. IMO fiber endcaps can be an advantage, when the media is stressed and starts to get wavy the endcaps are flexible and will keep the media from tearing (listen up Purolator). No issues with Fram at all (except nitrile valve on orange can), use with confidence!

You'll find that any major oil filter maker has a warranty that will pay for engine damage if it can be proven their product caused the damage.

I've used Frams far more than any other filter brand over the last 30 years and never a problem. If you search some threads you'll find plenty of similar posts from others. Did not really start experimenting with other brands until I came here and caught the filter disease ha ha.

Lots of good filters available though. Most of the Fram bashing is just plain ignorant.

After my Pure-1 failure, and a noisy start-up with a Puro classic. I switched to Wix and microguard for this oc on my 2 cars. I checked out the Fram Ultra and may try that next time. Looks like they filter better than the Wix.
