Fram CH11665 FAIL

I’m waiting on the cut and posting the filter from the Century
I’ve been slacking. Work has been killing me. Those were set to be cut open yesterday before all that happened lol

There’s a Bosch, EcoGard synthetic and a couple others setting on the bench for tomorrow as well.

I bet it is a "Made in Brazil" oil filter. I recently sent back to RockAuto a bunch of Lube-Finer P1009 made in Brazil oil filters for sloppy glue and pleat issues. These are the same as the current FRAM CH11665 oil filters. The media on them is almost too stiff and when they fold them for the pleats, have a squared off pleat end to them.

I second the recommendation to find a PG made alternate.

Looks like the media was embedded in the glue but just tore away.

Never been a fan of fram since “orange can of death” days. Used a couple of fram oil filters since w no issues. But will just move on from them now. No issues w supertech filters and the ones I use are not made by fram

A lot of Frams filters aren't made by Fram anymore, but are made by Champ Labs, who also makes the SuperTech filters.
