Who knew that a couple of excessively worn skid plates would evolve into all of this with just 2 races to go? You have to give the FIA credit. They look at everything under a microscope. Their attention to technical detail is very impressive.

Don’t even need to post that.McLaren really screwed up by not pitting at least one of their cars during the early safety car. Basically handed Max the win today. If Max wins the championship next week then that mistake will be the reason![]()
I can't even began to understand how badly McLaren botched that. They had one job...McLaren really screwed up by not pitting at least one of their cars during the early safety car. Basically handed Max the win today. If Max wins the championship next week then that mistake will be the reason![]()
It was amusing to hear Will Joseph tell Lando that RB and Verstappen lost all flexibility by pitting under SC when Lando asked if they should’ve followed RB’s strategy. Oh look, who got P1 despite the lack of so called flexibility.McLaren really screwed up by not pitting at least one of their cars during the early safety car. Basically handed Max the win today. I think they were really expecting there to be another safety car a few laps later and only then would their strategy have actually worked. It was amusing to hear Will Joseph tell Lando that RB and Verstappen lost all flexibility by pitting under SC when Lando asked if they should’ve followed RB’s strategy. It would have looked like geniusI think they were really expecting there to be another safety car a few laps later and only then would their strategy have actually worked.
True. Towards the end of stint 2, I figured they’d let Lando run out his mediums and switch to softs for the last 7-10 laps. Give him a chance at least. By the time Lando came in for his 2nd stop, he was done for already.I think they were really expecting there to be another safety car a few laps later and only then would their strategy have actually worked.
Nah, Leclerc is struggling with the car as well, and he's been driving for Ferrari for seven years. Williams has done a good job of rebuilding but I wonder how they split resources between 2025 and 2026 since Ferrari switched to 2026 five races in.OH, Williams man Sainz probably making Elkann and Co occasionally wonder if they messed up switching to Hamilton. 2026 will tell…
