Have any of you 3.5 Ecoboost owners used the Ford Racing oil filter in your trucks? What is the specific Ford Racing filter that equivalent to the MC FL500s?

It does look Pretty, kind of hard to see it when you are driving.

other than looks, unless you’re running some extreme oil pressure or super high volume system, running a racing filter is a bad idea.

if you want something more robust and better filtration, the Fram Endurance from walmart (FE10575) will check those boxes.

on paper no, but we don’t have rock solid evidence that the cheapened fram ultras are as efficient as the old ones. the royal purple in this test is the same filter produced by champion labs. even the size in this test is the same. all FL500S size filters.

It would be the FL820S version of the Ford Racing filter ... it works for the FL500S applications too if you find a look-up application.

Forgive my ignorance, but is the Fram Endurance better filtration than the Ultra?

They are so close in efficiency that it's splitting hairs at that level.
