I have used 5W20 in my 03 Escape for its entire life. I performed the 50,000 oil change on it yesterday. The engine was made for it so use it with confidence.

Now that I think about it, it went through one OCI with 0W20.

My dad just inherited a Ford Windstar with over 276K KM (172.5K Miles) and it has been run on Motorcraft 5w20 with 10K KM (6K Mile) OCI's and it runs great and consumes no oil and passed the emission test with flying colours.

Use 5w20 with confidence!
