If not, it'll probably be a rental fleet-only model, similar to what GM is doing with the Chevrolet Malibu Classic. It's an N-body with the 2.2L Ecotec in it. The new Malibu is a different body.
I agree that many Ford dealers just plain suck. I always got the impression that if it isn't available with 4WD, they don't want to work on it.
Fortunately, both of my Ford vehicles, 1988 Ford Mustang GT and 1996 Ford Contour SE, have extensive support available at http://www.corral.net and http://www.contour.org respectively, and I've found a good internet Ford dealer (Signature Lincoln/Mercury) to order parts from at a discount compared to getting them from the local dealership.
Based on the service records I have, the Mustang hasn't been to a Ford dealer since 1999, which is before I got it. Must have been a pretty good dealer (it's in South Carolina so I have no idea)if the previous owner was taking his 11-year-old car there for service--or he was just a glutton for punishment.
Oh, no, they didn't fix the problem he brought it in for. They replaced the EGR position sensor due to a memory code 33 (how they knew to scan it for codes I'll never know, it has no check engine light) and I found out last year that the problem was ACTUALLY due to a leaking vacuum line. Which conveniently cracked apart when I was disconnecting the EGR vacuum regulator to test it for leaks.
Replaced the cracked hose and...no more code 33.
Never been so happy that I broke something...
