Oil: QSUD 5w-20
Vehicle: 2007 Ford F-150, 155,000 miles, 5.4L Triton Flex
Miles on filter: 5,000

This is the widest spacing so that is why I took a picture. There were no tears of any kind in the filter media anywhere. All the pleats the rest of the way were uniform.

You scared me... I thought MC went to fiber end caps.. must be getting late...

This gives me a little relief running my 820s given the recent cut-opens posted.

I think it's more about how much V-spread the pleats have then how far the pleats are spread apart at the seam. We have seen quite a few filters with large pleat spacing at the seam without any media tears, but those filters all seemed to have very little pleat V-spread.

There have been a few filters with glued seams that had media tears ... 20195s I believe.
