From time to time, I think, "maybe I should run the OEM filter on my 351w." Quickly after, I see these posts that never have a good looking filter from Motorcraft. I'm very content with my new style Mobil 1 and PGI filters I choose to put on instead.

Thanks for the C&P! Carquest Extended Performance filters are wire backed and would serve these engine wells. Or, alternatively, Fleet Guard w/ Stratapore Media or Donaldson. If you can get your hands on it, Baldwin has a glass-media wire backed filter that filters down to some insane number. I want to say the model is B1-MPG or HPG.
