Motorcraft FL500S Cut & Post

Seeing this after my dad insisted on using a MC filter on my folk's new '25 Navigator. He was concerned about potential future warranty concerns using a brand of filter aside from Motorcraft.

I changed the oil for them at 3,000 miles with Valvoline Restore and Protect 5W30, which meets the Ford spec, and told him to use a Carquest/autozone PG filter but he wanted a motorcraft. Sucks Ford won't correct their issues with the Motorcrafts.

Mine was a mild case of glue shedding ... some reported instances are way worse than the one I posted.

Good call. I stopped using them a couple years ago in my old f150.

I stopped using them in my 02’ Ranger when I joined this site and was made aware of better offerings elsewhere.
