24 Nissan Titan 5.6L with approximately 34 miles as of now planning to change first oil and filter at or around 4 to 500 miles and then at 1500 then at 5000 then will continue at the 5000 mile interval. Need recommendations on an oil filter read plenty of threads but so confused. Ps I would need approximately 3 to 4 filters. lol thank you to all in advance for all your help.

Nice truck!! These are your best options if you have AAP or OReillys near you. Identical PG made XL’s.

Nissan uses same basic filter as Honda and Mazda and Mitsubish and H/K

I would grab a Honda filter (say 2017 Honda Odyssey) from the dealer and paint it white ( if you dont want the dealer to see the honda part number.

These are just well made and properly QC'd Fram Extraguard with a better gasket, media, and Si adbv.

I am NOT kidding

p.s: Skip the 500 mile oil change - just do the 1500 then the 5000 to 6000

I’m sure I’ll get scorched but why not a Nissan filter? At least the first several oil changes just to ensure if there was an engine issue to address under warranty, there shouldn’t be any finger pointing at a non-Nissan oil filter.

Nissan filter and gasket for drain plug from the dealer. What oil filter came on it now? It may be different than a USA parts dept replacement. Or it may be the same. Filters aren’t that expensive, like $10 from a dealer probably. You could get a cutter and cut one open to show here. If all looks good buy the others.

The OE Nissan and parts counter units were junk when I owned two Nissan, in fact a defective PRC NISSAN Filter destroyed the engine the first week of ownership, and the Nissan Mexican filter have had inverting ADBV issues. Bean counting an engine to death. Sad Fact.

There will be no finger pointing to an appropriate catalog part# aftermarket filter - (maybe some pointing to my HONDA suggestion)

If you like the Nissan OE filter, cool. I know nothing about them. Otherwise, its tough to beat the PG-made Microgard Selects, Carquest Premium or NAPA Gold's based on your local availability, price, etc.

I would check prices on the Nissan OE filter and pick up 6 or so, depending....
Did Grupo Gonher address the adbv issues? One would hope after a decade, but I might bet everyone involved was and still is oblivious to the failure mechanism.
