Fine Mesh (50 micron) Filter Bags

Public Service Announcement:

After Oil & Air Filtration improvements (thanks to BITOG).
What else is there ?

Filtration of waste-water from Washing Machine.
I previously used those Metal Socks you slip over the Drain Hose (into wash-tub).
There ok, but not the best.

I had a polyester filter bag laying around (maybe 100 microns).
I slipped it over the metal sock and was amazed at how much 'lint' the nylon bag caught.
The bag is 7" dia x 16" long

As a homeowner, I want to do as much as possible to prevent any sewer line clogs.
I bought the filter bag thru www.mcmaster.com

I bought a 100 & 250 micron (98315K512)

I'm going to put the 250 micron bag in the 100 micron and double filter.

Just thought this would be helpful if anyone wanted to do the same
or experiment with the 5 microm felt filter bags for Coolant or Oils.

Good move. I heard recently that small particles of polyester that come off clothes in washing is quite harmful to fish and other animals.
