Filter Comparison Question

Does anyone know how current this test info is?

It raises some questions, such as:
Is the Champion filter the same as USA Mobil 1?
Is the Purolator a Pure One or Premium Plus?
Who manufactured the Motorcraft?
Any thoughts?

Since this test was run in the UK and it looks like they used european sourced parts, I don't know how well this information crosses over to the US stuff.

That said, the US vendor for Motorcraft is Purolator, but that doesn't mean that it is identical to anything with a Purolator label. For example, the Motorcraft FL-1A has the internals of a PurOne but doesn't use the heavier can. I understand that the Canadian Motorcraft vendor is Wix.

Here in the US, Mobil 1 filters are made by Champion Labs, but it is not like any other Champion Labs product. K&N is also made by Champion Labs, but it is very different from the Mobil 1.

Champion Labs makes filters that are sold under many different labels and of many different levels of quality.

It's several years old. The same information has been bouncing around the Internet for awhile.

Few of the filters mentioned are available in the U.S..
