Hello again and this filter was off of a 2013 Nissan Sentra with federated conventional 5w30 oil. Put some Quaker State Conventional 5w30 and a FRAM Extra Guard in and on.

The current Federated Auto Parts filters are not made by Clarcor/Hastings. They are made in China and are Premium Guard filters made for Federated (PG4612F, the "F" stands for Federated). They used to be made by Hastings.

The Hastings filter for my Elantra is LF565, and the corresponding Federated filter that used to be made by Hastings was LF565F. Now it's PG something.

Looks solid. Question, do you notice any difference in performance between 5w30 & 0w20 oil in the Sentra? I have a 15 myself and I've been using 0w20 so far, but am curious how much, if any, 5w30 would affect performance and fuel economy.

Mcgophers: my friend always used 5w30 in his Nissan's. He said he didn't notice any difference in the car. I didn't ask him bout fuel economy

Does look pretty doggone good. Well done there Captain. Looks like another filter that would be good to use.

Very common made in China filter. Just like a Pronto.

Stout media.... Round holes in the center tube....

No tears.....

What's not to like?

Regards,

Since 'specifically' asked, 'some' might not like the unknown efficiency of these filters. And 'some' may not like or prefer the coo of these filters.

Those caveats noted, as with many filters of this tier and coo, it does 'appear' to be well made.

Thanks for c&p.
