Favorite one hit wonder?

STILLWATER - " Mind Bender " reached #46 . About a talking guitar . The Talk Box is used for voice of the guitar .

Aldo Nova - Fantasy

Brings back memories.
I had a power chair in the day.
( master blaster stereo with recliner to be paralyzed by the music lol )
While I was at work my brother would sneak in and play Aldo Nova)

The speakers would walk across the floor...

You guys are showing your age. :p
What else better is there to do but listen to good music when you get old?
When it comes to listening to music in a vehicle, nothing beats a few thousand of your favorite MP3s on shuttle play. It is what keeps me sane while driving among the morons. Radio now days just plain sucks. IMO the very best music was produced between 1966 and 1976, and there was a LOT to choose from. Once disco hit in 1977 music went downhill fast.

IMHO 67 and 71 were the best years.....and yeah im an old turd

Funny in the other thread the OP notes meeting the singer from the Boxtops - "The Letter" (it's the "gimme a ticket for an aeroplane" song) is one of my favorite one hit wonder type songs.

reemoeMO lists Closing Time by Semisonic. God do I hate that song. I was in college at the time and it was played incessantly and of course always at the literal closing time at the bars.

Hocus Pocus was a great call gmh!

Then you should be familiar with at least a couple of the songs/groups that I posted.
Years ago I met and partied backstage with Arthur Brown and Jimmy Carl Black when they played a show together at Liberty Lunch. Quite the characters those two were. Great show too. I also met Roky Erickson who was backstage partying with them but wasn't in the show. Talk about a strange dude!
