Fire in Oatman,Az

We really enjoy old Western towns and Oatman is one of our favorites.

We got married in Oatman 11 years ago.

They had a fire that destroyed a building. I'm still not sure which business it was as I have not been able to visit the place for a few years.

Wonder if it was caused by not upgrading the electrical wiring from the old tube and knob type these places would have had when new ?

Sounds like the electricals would have been updated with the fire 20 years ago. I bet it will be rebuilt to look just as old as before.

This sucks. We've been there twice by motorcycle and loved it both times, and the wife absolutely loved the burros. An absolute jewel on old Route 66.
