I can sometimes stomach KFC... I've been to some that are more or less a real country buffet, and not frozen fast-food schlock. There's one in SC, and there's one out in the country here. I'm not sure if they're franchises that previously were a mom n pop buffet or what, but the chicken is cooked like a real restaurant and it's all original recipe.
Church's, man... I've been to a few different Church's Chicken in different parts of the country. When I was on the road my team driver would always go in on certain days of the week when they had those insane bazillion pieces of dark meat for a nickel or whatever. They didn't even come in a bucket like KFC- just a bag that was completely dissolved within a few minutes from the grease. It was nasty.
We've got a couple of Popeye's here. They're on par with KFC, not too bad not too good.
Bojangles has decent biscuits, I'll pass on everything else.
