I've got a '16 F-150 with the 3.5l Ecoboost (direct injection; turbo) and running Mobil 1 5w30. My first UOA looks pretty good (posted below in the forum), but it was a short run. I'm planning to run M1 for two more cycles and then switch to something else for fun. I did some searching and there doesn't seem to be a lot of info on Schaeffer's in turbo gas engines. I've run Schaeffer's in the past and really like the oil, so it's on the short list for my next lube.

For the record, I'm considering both Pennzoil Ultra and Schaeffer's Supreme 9000. Whichever I choose next will likely be followed by the other. But for the sake of this post, what are your thoughts (experiences) running Schaeffer's in these kinds of engines? I see no reason why it would not be a great oil, but figured I'd ask the brain trust.

Thanks for your feedback...

As long as it meets proper specs for that truck, try it. I like Schaeffer stuff, too - seems like real stout oil. I ran a 7,500 mi. change and a 5K change of their 9000 5w30 in my turbo Cruze last year and liked it, just switched back to Valvoline because my wife was short-tripping it a lot and it was a waste to change the Schaeffers every 5K. I'd like to see a UOA on it, too - I got the kit and kept some of the oil but never sent it in. (Wonder if it'd still be good after 9 months sitting in the bottle?)

HTO-06 may be a good spec to look for in this application, but not required..
