I have a 2023 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport 3.5L V6 4x4 with 28000 miles. I drive 80% highway and 20% in town or country roads. What do you guys recommend for 10K oil change intervals?

Late to the party, but on my 2022 the first oil change at 4500 miles I used Valvoline Synthetic 5w30. Had the dealer do the recent one as it was my last free one and I wanted one on the record. They use bulk M1 0w20. Will be doing it myself with whatever 5w30 synthetic is on sale. I run 5K mile intervals. Did the same on my 2021. Both are 3.5 V6 trucks.

Not gonna get into the whole 5K vs 10K thing. I change mine at 5K just for piece of mind. There's several of these trucks with the 3.5 that have gone 200-300K miles on 10K oil changes. Then you have the few odd ones that the cylinder head goes bad before 40K miles running 5K oil changes. Luck of the draw on these trucks.

In my 2GR-FE 3.5L I am working up to M1 0w40 on 5k OCI and 10k oil filter change intervals.
Currently running 0w30 in my 2GR-FE and my 2ZR-FXE.
I’m considering doing the same in my 2GRFE, but I’m a little hesitant because mine is spec’d for 0W20, which I’ve since changed out to 5W30…not sure I should bump it up the M1 0W40 FS, but it is almost a 30wt anyway. I do 10,000 mile intervals, currently running Amsoil Signature Series 5W30.

I have a 2019 with the same engine. Amazing thing here is: 28,000 miles in a year or less! I don't quite have 25,000 yet!

I only change my oil once a year now. Pointless to do it sooner than that. I use Amsoil 0W-30.

With that much driving despite what people here are posting, choose a good synthetic oil and do 10K mile OCI's. 0W-30 works nicely.

0W-30 oil with the proper specs maybe even a 0w-40 with the proper specs. I run 0W-40 in the 2006 4 cyl Tacoma, 2010 Ford Focus, 2015 Ford F150 with the 2.7 and the 2018 Ford F150 with the 6.2 gas engine. I would guess a 20wtmwould be fine if you did not push the engine.

Just did an oil change in my 08 Tacoma today. I use 5w30 as specified in the manual. Been doing 8,000 OCI's and things have been good. Usual oil loss around 1/2 a quart between changes. I'm at 209k miles (215 if you factor in "lost" mileage for larger diameter tires). This is what the top half of the motor looked like when I did cam gears about 20k miles ago.

If it makes you feel any better Toyota uses Mobil as their supplier, Mobil 1 EP would be my choice if you intend to run an extended interval like 10K.
Do you have nay data to support this claim?
Not debating its true, just looking for proof as I just purchased another ES350 that has always been dealership maintained and was curios about the supplier.
