It's OK. We had some issues with Eneos reps starting to aggressively push their product here without being a sponsor, hence the not so warm reception.

While Eneos oil is of very good quality to begin with, I personally think that the spin doktors, salesrep, etc. overdid it aggressively, thus making them products sounding more and more like snake oil of some sort.

What are they trying to achieve? trying to make it up to the same league as most boutique oils like Amsoil and Redline? Or snake oils such as Schlick-50s and such?

The more they try to make it sounds too good to be true, the more they turn people off to their products. I know Eneos but frankly been turned off by all these outrageous, unsubstantiated sales pitch.

Not likely; thinner oil can increase horsepower, so they can rig the test by running against a thicker oil. Just buy on price, I always just use the cheapest oil I can find with API rating, but I do a 50:50 dino synth frankenmix, and my engines love it. My next oil will be a 50:50 dino synth 5w25, and since I discovered MotoCraft, after that it will be semi-synth / synth frankenmix.
