I use caps on every position except the steer. My favorite is the Michelin XDY for my applications.Just curious, for the drive tires: Did you purchase new or were retreads an option for this use case?

If your using Michelin, do they run their own retread service like in the UK/ Europe?I use caps on every position except the steer. My favorite is the Michelin XDY for my applications.
Yes I believe they do. I get them from my local Michelin distributor. I believe Michelin, Bandag and Goodyear are the big 3 retread companies here.If your using Michelin, do they run their own retread service like in the UK/ Europe?
The DM was built up till sometime around 2005 I believe. The R model didn’t last that long but I don’t know when they stopped building it. The DM and R are the exact same cabs only the DM is offset on the frame like a U model. They made the DM that late? Wow!
Did they make the R model that long too?
I worked for a company with a fleet of Volvo coaches and they used Michelin exclusively. Having spare sets of wheels to swap on when needed was cost effective and also a requirement of some of the contracts we had.Yes I believe they do. I get them from my local Michelin distributor. Ran in our Buffalo Days parade this morning, we had a fantastic turnout and beautiful weather for it
There’s a mesh screen that’s attached to the cooling package but there’s nothing in the hole in the hood. Pretty common for Macks. It mainly depends how it was orderedI don't see a grille over the radiator / condenser or is that a screen? Are you not worried about rocks or debris or is this normal for a truck of this size?
Takes about a full can of Coverall and sometimes just a little more to get the shine where I want it. I like shiny tires.Looks great. How many jugs of tire shine does it take to do all your tires?
My town is only a little over a thousand people. Everyone recognizes the truck here, plus I’m busy enough now I’m not even advertising anymore. I wasn’t going to do this parade but the grandparents came down to watch it from quite a distance away and wasn’t going to let them down.Any thought to putting a phone # or website on the truck? Maybe you are in a small enough town that people know how to get in touch with you.
I have that same Tonka wheel loader but don’t remember mine having the black guard over the handle to control the bucket. I remember getting my finger stuck in the black engine grille when I was supposed to be going to sleep. My dad had to cut the thing apart to get my finger out. My 4 year old son plays with it now.
