On the way home from the last offroad trip to PA, 81 was closed for an accident so we ended up heading up Pa61 through Shamokin, Centralia , Frackville to get back to 81.
A lot of houses in Mt Carmel PA had their downspouts going over the sidewalk into the road. Take a look at this on google streetview

Even I know better than that...He has two downspouts dumping right next to the foundation and there is negative drainage. I wonder how wet that basement/crawl space is?

It keeps the rain off their heads. Not everyone can own a house worthy of the front cover of Better Homes and Gardens.That is one ugly house.
