Does this downspout look bad?

We had a covered porch added onto our house. A 48x16 L shape. 8 feet deep. 6 fiberglass pillars. The gutters were installed by the contractor’s gutter guy and this is what I came home to. I’m told there’s no other way.

I would assume they make some sort of downspout bender that could do a ~3.5” offset.

What say all ye?

I'm not a gutter expert, but after a bit of research with french drains I learned they make flexible tubing that would have worked much better, along with proper fittings for a clean look.

I worked at a place that had a technical term for that sort of work - "ticky-tacky" Not professional IMHO.

Found this online - there are several different offsets depending on how far away from the wall you need to have the downspout move.

That looks terrible. Just because he didn't have any of the right elbows in his truck does not equal 'there's no other way'.

The too-shallow PVC drain pipe looks sketchy also.
I wish it was a tad deeper, but it can use some backfill too. No gutters, erosion etc.

Dont pay them until they do it right, terrible job

.05 out of 10 for a professional installer, maybe 5 of 10 for a novice home owner.
