Does Honda Ever Have Rebates/Incentives

Two weeks ago we e-mailed every Honda dealer within about 50 miles. Most were coming back right where you said, $300-500 over invoice. That was if they actually had the CR-V we wanted in stock.

On our 2013 EX-L,we paid $200 over invoice,and the dealer threw in a couple accessories they'd already installed that we wouldn't have wanted because of price.

If you look where Chrysler fairs in JD Power and Consumer Reports, their quality is abysmal. When your brands are the bottom brands (with the exception of Ram) something is wrong.

Really? Honda had issues with their 5 speed automatics from, what 2002 to 2010? 8 or so years and they still couldn't get it right. And a few class actions and recalls and they were drug kicking and screaming into fixing them. Just like everyone else....

Honda generally has incentives on something and they are usually in the form of dealer cash or reduced financing.

Example: Bought a leftover 2012 Accord LX-P for $19.3K this past December. The dealer threw in a spoiler, mudflaps, and body side molding which were already installed. I ended up with the $1750 dealer cash in the deal and .9 financing. I bought the car for $100. more than KBB used value was at the time, and the dealer ended up $1360 in the hole, but they moved one of their last two 2012's.

Doesn't really matter what brand of car you are talking about, all have models that are duds and one can potentially buy a lemon in any of them. Yes, Odysseys have their issues. Look at my signature line and ask me how I know. Fortunately, they have gotten better over time (our '06 is better than our '00 was) but IMO, Honda transmissions (in several applications) are still weak, especially in their vans. However, they are generally dependable and hold their resale well. I view my '12 as a transportation appliance, IMO it garners that level of excitement.
