Previous UOA:

This is a sample pulled from my Durango 3.6L with 122,200 miles total and 11,200 miles on the oil. The oil is HP 5w-20 by High Performance Lubricants in Manteno, IL. This oil is intended for extended drain intervals. I will sample again at 16,000 miles. Filter is a Fram Ultra, which was not changed at this sample. Consumption was zero, which improved from about 0.25qt every 5,000 miles. Lab is WearCheck.

Edit: The oil has been in service since 12/26/2019

Look'n awesome 👍

I'm going to have to get my hands on some of this HPL in the future.

Wayne, where in the heck are all the wear metals?? This honestly looks like a 3/3K run! Loving all that moly!!

Probably one of the best uoa's here!

Excellent !!

I’m liking how you are doing the distance on this oil while taking regular samples.

I also like how the lab is returning very consistent and tight numbers from the add pack.

I just bought some HPL break in oil for my soon to be finished 440. It will be the worlds shortest OCI for BITOG.

It indeed holds up like a high performance lubricant for your usage!

You still rockin' the factory oil filter/cooler housing on your pentastar?

Those seem to be ideal for extended drains. Try to disturb them as little as possible.

Yes, but it has been replace under warranty, because it cracked. Ironically, the oil change kid at the dealer must have torqued it with a 36" breaker bar after I told them NOT to change the oil. The next time I changed the filter it took some serious torque to get the filter housing off and it was already leaking. I don't understand how someone working at a dealer doesn't understand the gasket makes the seal, not the interface between the housing and the base. I only tighten it to contact and never any more.

Is there an aftermarket filter housing/cooler?
