Do you believe in that red battery anti corrosion spray?

Yes after tapeing off the area and allowing it to dry and applying many coats .......or brush on dielectric grease

If you have an East Penn maintenance free battery, there is NO NEED for annual battery maintenance! For example, the AAA EP made battery was in my MGM when I bought it 6 years ago-in for 5+ years, no battery protectant, no felt washers, no grease. ZERO corrosion! After about the 4th or 5th acid spewer, one gets tired of the constant rewatering, cleaning, greasing…

I use NOCO NCP2 on setups like this. Spray exposed terminals, battery hold down and battery tray. We run standard flooded batteries so the extra corrosion protection helps. Pic was taken before spraying corrosion preventative, looks nice when clean with brand new batts.

Don't use anything except clean ,bright, tight connections. Modern automotive batteries don't spew sulfuric acid like the olden days.

It's made crc and it seems to keep the corrosion at bay.
I also found it's best to just buzz the terminal nuts off with a 1/4" impact. That way you're not flexing the posts and stripping the nuts out. Was thinking I was going to have to cut them off, but they were okay

I have used the red stuff, dielectric grease, and no-ox-Id conductive grease. All have been fine, I use whats handy. If I only coukd have one it woukd be the No-ox-Id.

Someone recommended years ago to use pledge on the battery case. That’s what I use. Just gives it a bit if silicone oil.

I rarely remove batteries and when I pull them, sometimes over a decade later, they tend to look fine…

I use it. I'll lightly re-coat it every time I check the oil (which in the Subaru every week, heh). I used to use Fluid Film and it worked really well, but would always be messy.
