Do you believe in that red battery anti corrosion spray?

I use it.
It seems to help. I have not noticed any adverse impacts from doing so.
Since I have a lifetime supply (large can,) I see no reason not to.

I did for years, too messy and the little ~$9 can was flat when you tried to use it for subsequent coatings...

Switched to the little felt rings (Seemed to work ok)

I had 2 older problematic cars where batteries corroded like hell... They got a coating of "RIG" (Gun long term storage grease). It was handy and did the trick. That has been my go-to last few years... Not that I do much battery maintenance or replacements these days.

Yeah and the jackasses at autozone always has them at a 30 degree angle. From now on I'm just going to have them install them, and I'll do the hooking and unhooking of the terminals. They don't every understand that the posts are tapered and they always blame the terminals being bad as the reason they don't tighten. I take a small ball peen hammer and lightly tap them down onto the posts and they tighten just fine.
Autozone installs parts?

The last CRC stuff I had was yellow. That can lasted me over a decade. The last can I bought was the red color.

I liked the look of the yellow better on the battery terminals.

I use RP-342 or Super Lube on my battery terminals. So far, so good. If I see corrosion or acid puke, the battery’s getting a bath.

I use whatever I have on hand, Vaseline, dialectic grease, WD40, they will all do the same job. I hate stocking things.
I’ve been using WD-40 Specialist Gel on a recent battery install. It doesn’t stay put like RP-342 but it does work to keep the terminals from getting corroded.
