Do touchless washes remove Klasse or other products?

I just put Klasse All-in-one on my Corolla and will probably add Sealant Glaze. I might start washing by hand more often, but I still want to use an automatic wash for at least the undercarriage wash and because the water will inevitably get some other spots that I might miss. I get the deluxe wash which includes the undercarriage wash plus a spray-on "wax." Will these carwashes strip the Klasse from my car?

Commercial car washes, especially the touchless types, use much stronger detergents than you would at home. This is because the average consumer wants their car somewhat clean, and the detergent strength must be stronger to achieve this with somewhat decent results without physically wiping the surface. Also, most people allow their cars to get very dirty before washing, thus another reason for the increased detergent strength. I have personally noticed the touchless washes strip any protectant I have put on my car, from Meguiar's #16 (very durable carnauba), #20, NXT, and Four Star Ultimate Paint Protection. It is readily apparent on my black plastic mirror housings, which lose all of their shine after a touchless wash.
I only use a touchless wash in the winter if really needed and it's too cold to do by hand. I have been using Protect All's QEW lately because of the heat here (to avoid water spots), and will use it this winter with warm water. It's a really neat and effective product, and only uses 1 gallon of water per wash (no rinsing, just wipe dry).

I Googled some autowash suppliers, here is a quote for a certain presoak:

"It combines a special Organic Acid, Hydrofluoric Acid and state-of-the-art detergents."

I'm guessing that any concentration of Hydrofluoric Acid will not aid wax/sealer longevity.

Perhaps someone who knows will chime in.

Hydroflouric Acid will also etch glass. It is the world's worst acid with a ph of less than one....extremely corrosive...better to wash by hand, or go to those old fashion rag car washes that drag the soft brush over the car...not the rotating bristle kind...

Plus the water on touchless is many times recycled...and HARD...

The high water pressure used to "blow the dirt away" also decreases the life of any wax. They really have it cranked up and some of these new drive thru washes have the nozzles VERY close to the vehicle surfaces.

I only use them in the winter... if I have to.

If you have a very well maintained dark color paint job that really shows off it's surface shine, the rag type car wash will leave it's microscopic marks on the paint.

The average person won't notice it on a paint job that gets average maintenance.

That is true XS650 but in the snow belt I've found its better to go through a car wash occasionally during the winter and buff them out with an orbital in the summer than not wash it at all. Plus, I feel like tar when my car is that nasty!

I use a Touchless wash probably every 2-3 months when Im feeling lazy.

It does a good job, its about 1-2 feet away from my car.

It does a pre-rinse with light-medium water pressure, then double soaps the car, then high pressure blasts it off, then a colory foamy **** spray job, to a "clear coat protectant" to a spot free rinse, and a blow dry.

I always go late at night that way I can pull threw and then reverse back threw the ******* haha.

Regardless after I do this, I set in my mind that the car will get a handwax job, and a nice hand wash before the end of the month.

I usually follow up a touchless wash with a spraywax job for protection.

My car looks great!
