Direct versus consumption taxation.

I'd never argue we don't need a government, but I do have a question for all of you who so willingly hand everything to the government.

Do we have a tax problem? i.e. the government is not collecting enough money? OR Do we have a spending problem? IOW, the government is overspending?

The problem is more like misspending in the first place and overspending in the second place. oilyriser says you should fix it.
