Nope. Honda had some Nighthawks (specifically the 550 and 650, per my memory) which had DOHC with pivoted followers, the pivot point of which was located on a hydraulic "lifter." That way, there was automatic clearance adjustment, but the lifter mass is not in the reciprocating mass of the valve train. I don't think the Nighthawk 750 or "S" (tarrif-beating 700cc) ever got the hyd. lifters, but I'm not sure. I think the Nighthawk 550/650 were in the mid-80's era. I always liked the Nighthawk 650... classic looks, shaft drive, air cooled but with external oil cooler... nice bike.

CB700SC Shaft drive, hydraulic lifters, brakes & clutch. Good low maintenance bike. Used to razz the harley riders in the factory I worked that while they were tearing the moter out of their bikes or otherwise working on them that I was out riding
