Interceptor is JASO-FD, which has added detergents compared to FC, and would supersede the FC.
More easy to find JASO FD would be VP Racing at walmart, and Echo Red armor at home depot.

Saber is for pre mix. You would want interceptor for oil injected engine

I would probably run redarmor and if I thought it needed more 2 stroke oil just add a little to the gas too.

That’s unfortunate since the point of the JASO specification is to reduce confusion and complication.
Shell ultra synthetic would be an option.

Complicated? Just use interceptor from Amsoil if you want Amsoil JASO-FD and it’s for an injected oil. No complication whatsoever.
It actually is for AMSOIL 2 stroke products. Need JASO-FD, ok. Saber is FD and one would think that is the optimal choice, since most other FD oils are also sold for power equipment, but it's only for pre mix? Interceptor, it seems to be for snow mobiles, Dominator seems to be for racing. There are two different Charts one can find. one recommends Saber for scooters with no distinction between injector, or premix. Another chart says nothing about scooters, so the next closest would be a motorcycle that recommends interceptor (which would be the obvious choice if one had a snow mobile). after pouring over information I was about to go with Saber because FD is the requirement and its FD.. but not really. Then, in another article from AMSOIL Dominator is recommended for scooters. It's very confusing. What makes Saber unique for pre-mix (seems to be higher viscosity) apparently makes it not suitable for injector applications.

of corse one could just use the scooter manufactures branded oil and be done with it.. but, us oil people like to re invent the wheel a little.

Yeah locally bought redarmor and run it 40:1.
Really any FD rated 2 stroke at 40:1 would be fine.
The 4 key points being:
1 ethanol free gas.
2 mix it yourself.
3 use an FD rated oil.
4 as in mix it 40:1
This is for an oil injected 2 stroke

How do you premix oil and gas for oil injected? Mix really lean and account for the oil that will be injected?
