Thank goodness that is true and this is the USA where we have choices in our vehicles and the right to protect ourselves. I see nothing wrong with this.

Well... I'm not sure how you meant that, but if you're following me too closely or zooming in and out of lanes carelessly, especially at highway speed, it's not really about "pleasing me", it's about not risking our lives for no reason. That goes triple if either/both of us have kids in our vehicle.

To me, the only "babies" are the incredibly-contemptible idiots who drive aggressively because they think their (perceived) schedule is more important than my life.

Mathematically speaking, it doesn't make any sense either. How many minutes do these people taking risks really save in their commute to work in the morning, for instance?

If I drive, say 35MPH for my 10 mile commute in downtown driving, I'll get there in 17 minutes.

If I drive carelessly and go 55MPH for the same commute, I'll get there in 11 minutes.

Does that 6 minutes really mean that much? Maybe they should get up 6 minutes earlier.

I exaggerate a bit in my example. More than likely they cannot go 55MPH, get caught by many of the same lights or traffic that I do, and may only shave off 3-4 minutes of the commute.

All of this for what? I wish I knew what the heck was so important that they needed to put all of the rest of us in danger. I blame much of this on them being told that they're special as a child.

+1 I saw an idiot just this morning take all sorts of crazy risks so he could move up from being roughly two cars behind me to two cars ahead. He risked the property and lives of everyone around him. What did he gain? The last I saw of him he was sitting waiting for a left turn at a red arrow as the rest of us all rolled on. I can understand jockeying to get around one slow-poke on the interstate that's blocking access to miles of open road but weaving though city traffic is both dangerous and useless.
